Embark on an exhilarating adventure just a stone's throw away from the bustling streets of Mexico City. Pico de Águila, a majestic mountain rising proudly in the State of Mexico, beckons outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers alike. In this blog post, I will share my experience of climbing Pico de Águila in a day trip, immersing the reader in its natural beauty and breathtaking vistas. Standing tall at an impressive height of 3,900 meters (12,795 feet), is a majestic mountain. From a distance, Pico de Águila showcases a remarkable resemblance to an eagle.
6 Flags is a popular roller coaster franchise. Most parks are located in the USA, but there is also one in Mexico City. The park is located in the south part of the city. It is a cool place to spend the day.
Mayan culture is fascinating, and ancient ruins are amazing places to experience it firsthand.
Two major archaeological sites are not far from each other: Palenque and Tikal.
If you would like to visit both, here is how I traveled from Palenque to Flores, the gateway to Tikal.
Cusco is probably best known as the starting point for Machu Picchu, but there is a lot more to see around the city. The Andes are right there, and there are plenty of day trips where you can hike to mountain lakes, see alpacas, visit old Inca sites, or just spend a full day driving through the Sacred Valley. I did three trips around Cusco: Humantay Lake, 7 Lakes of Ausangate, and the Sacred Valley. The weather was great for all three trips, which definitely helped. The first two were more about hiking and mountains, while the Sacred Valley was mostly about history and sightseeing. All three can be done as day trips with organized tours, and all three start early. Very early. Pickups around 4–5 am are normal here, so be prepared for that.
