Hua Shan trail pass

How to get and what to see:

In 2014 I visited Hua Shan(华山) mountain in Shaanxi province, China

The nearest big city is Xian. The journey to Hua Shan starts from the old train station, which is located near the city wall. First, you should buy the train ticket to Hua Shan Station. That's really easy. Just show 华山 this characters the cashier. My experience was that cashier show me time to next train on her screen and I reply to here, that I need this ticket with a sign. Then just hit the train.

 

It is 2 hours ride. Get out on the Hua Shan station. After you ll leave the station, you will be approached by taxi drivers who will ride you there. Price for a ride is just 20-30 RMB.

There are two ways to get up to the summit: Cable car or by foot. Each way have a different starting point. The taxi driver will probably take you to the cable car station if you need another don't be shy to show him his map or say that you want to go to Shaluo Ping.

In 2014 entrance ticket costs 180 RMB and extra 100 for the cable car. 

Climb from Shauo Ping is not hard, It took me about 3 hours to get to the area near top cable car point.

At that point, it's possible to have a rest with tea and free wifi. It is important to get rest because way via Green Dragon Ridge is not easy. 

After climbing to the summit head to any hotel you want for a night. I stayed in a West Peak hotel for 100 RMB(photo of the hotel is in Gallery)  

The trail path

 On the next day, I woke up at 5 am to see the sunrise, but because I stayed at West peak, obviously, I didn't see it:) So, I packed my stuff and went to the famous Hua Shan trail path. There were already some lao wai's and Chinese tourists there. I wear the belt and just go. After 2 minutes I felt very confident on the steps. Actually, it is a very easy path.  So if you are in doubt just go there. You can make amazing picks if you have a friend with you. It looks pretty scared in the photo but actually, it is very safe. Way back

After I just went straight to the cable car, bought a one-way ticket back for 50 RMB. And caught a bus back to Xian. Hua Shan is great park, if you a casual back packer like me, you 'd like it. If you like more quiet nature, I would not recommend going there.
